Nikki gao receives the 2019 national athena leadership award

Randstad Greater China, 20 FEBRUARY 2020 -Ahead of International Women’s Day this year, Randstad, a global recruitment and talent solutions firm, is proud to announce that Nikki Gao has received the 2019 national ATHENA leadership accolade.

Nikki’s journey with randstad 

Nikki joined Randstad China in 2017 and was quickly promoted to Managing Director of Greater China at the end of 2019. In her role, Nikki oversees talent recruitment and employer branding solution services across mainland China and Hong Kong. 

Randstad China has experienced rapid growth and attributed a number of successes to Nikki Gao’s leadership capabilities. As a wife and mother, Nikki is an empathetic yet entrepreneurial and assertive leader, driving both business growth and Randstad’s ambitious HR innovation agenda in parallel. She attributes her success in the industry to her employees and the people whom she had developed a strong relationship with.

Encouraging other women to break the ‘glass ceiling’ and take on new challenges, Nikki said, “When we face difficulties, we are usually fearful. We are apprehensive of the future because of ambiguity. The best way to overcome this fear is to move forward - by taking small steps, albeit a faster pace. Continue to put one foot in front of the other and take it one step at a time.”  

Nikki is also the commissioner of the first Political Consultative Conference of Shanghai Jing‘an District and the vice-president of Shanghai’s talent service industry association  (SHRCA). Prior to Randstad, Nikki held several roles within the HR industry and was also a founder of a HR technology start-up.
